Our Story
Expressing the warmth one might expect from a studio called Autumn, the earth tones, fireplace, meditative and decorative touches , nestled in one of the most stunning islands in the world, Gabriola’s Autumn Studios is a relaxing space where we’re guided into and focused on composing, songwriting, arranging and production.
The creative environment, ideal for recording original songs, film/theatre scores and contemplative/healing music, has resulted in record deals, sync placements, award recognitions, countless recordings and live performances. Our focus is on creating healing, inspiring music to help us all return to our centre of gratitude.
Our clients include Disney, 20th Century Studios, Netflix, and an array of eclectic artists from around the globe. Among the artists who have worked/played/created in our studio are renowned sitarist Sharanjeet Singh Mand; , Arkaya Yoga founder, Yogacharini Maitreyi; Concertmaster Mark Ferris (Vancouver Opera Orchestra); International cellist, Ariel Barnes (former principle cellist for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, currently with the Nuremburg Symphony Orchestra); Producer/songwriter Chin Injeti (Drake, Eminem, P!nk); Rock legends April Wine; and Mark Lyman, original guitarist with 80’s pop singer Luba.
Originally from Montréal, Canada, Mark began with a dream common to many songwriters - to inspire healing for a better world with his music. His own songwriting and compositions focus on world peace, harmony, loving tolerance, and the ultimate discovery of our own unique beauty and universal connection.
